About Text Diff Checking

The Text Diff Checker tool allows you to compare two text samples and identify the differences between them. It highlights additions, deletions, and unchanged portions, making it easy to spot changes between different versions of text.

How to Use This Tool
  1. Enter or paste the original text in the left text area
  2. Enter or paste the modified text in the right text area
  3. Adjust the comparison options as needed
  4. Click the "Compare Texts" button to see the differences
  5. Use the "Copy Results" button to copy the formatted diff to your clipboard
  6. Use the "Reset" button to clear both input fields and start over
Comparison Options
  • Ignore Case: Treat uppercase and lowercase letters as the same
  • Ignore Whitespace: Disregard differences in spaces, tabs, and newlines
  • Show Line Numbers: Display line numbers in the diff output
  • Diff Type: Choose between inline (single column) or side-by-side view
  • Context Lines: Number of unchanged lines to show around differences
Understanding the Results
  • Green text indicates content that was added in the modified text
  • Red text indicates content that was removed from the original text
  • Gray or normal text represents unchanged content
